Client Services

The South Brevard Sharing Center is about treating people with dignity and respect by providing a haven for those who struggle to meet their basic needs. The general nature and purpose of this organization is to provide short-term emergency assistance to needy individuals and families, in the South Brevard county area where federal, state, and county funds are not available.

Requirements:
Requirements for assistance include verifying identity by showing a state-issued identification card and a social security card before assistance can be provided. This is part of the Federal and State of Florida requirements for organizations like SBSC that receive government funding for assistance programs. Also as part of the requirements we use the HMIS database, which prevents people from getting the same help from multiple charitable organizations. This allows more people to be served. Please see our locations page for where and when to get help.

What we do:
The South Brevard Sharing Center gives away food, clothing, health & hygiene items, household items, furnishings, holiday gifts for children, and holiday meals. We offer assistance with rent and utility bills based on availability of funds.
